lazy romantic Friday

It's the time to be frugal. We have so many things planned (a trip to Canada, and NZ) plus Christmas is just peeking around the corner. We need to be more mindful of our finances. And the first thing to go? Our weekday night outs. (I know...so sad isn't it?).

But frugality isn't going to be our excuse to take out the romance in our marriage. No sirreee!

Last Friday, we had movie night at home and a 5-star dinner care of moi. (hehe). Baked porkchop seared with mustard and generous helpings of sambal chili. And I even put it on our plates with flair and presentation. See those bits of corn, carrots and peas around the dish? Ha! Chef Ramsay would be proud (or he could scream at me, could be either way).

I even baked brownies. Ok I cheated a bit but P didn't seem to mind. I used a ready made Betty Crocker mix. And served it to him with strawberries on the side.

To cap off our romantic evening of course, what else but we spent the evening cuddled in our couch watching our favorite series.

We got comfortable...

Soon the drone of the TV became white noise in our background...

And the TV was forgotten altogether...

Ahhh...I do love Fridays.
